Halloween Treat Cup Card

A card with candy, what a great concept!

I've been wanting to create a treat cup card for quite awhile. I have to admit, I was always a little intimidated about trying to make one of these. I wanted to make sure the candy could be removed without damaging the card.  After some research and trial and error, I got it figured out. I love how it turned out.

Mouse and pumpkin patterns from KaDoodle Bug Designs.

This slider tab is behind the front cover and lines up with the candy compartment. The pocket is created with a hole through both layers (of the pocket). It is then lined up and attached behind the front cover. A straight piece of card stock is then slid inside this pocket and a round tab attached to the top of the straight piece for pulling. When pulled up, the candy compartment opens up.

Trick or Treat Easel Card

Today, I'm sharing an easel card with a little bit of a twist. I've created it so that the moon can light up with the use of a battery operated votive. I love how this one turned out! I've used patterns from KaDoodle Bug Designs to create it.

I've replaced the moon section with vellum, allowing the light to shine through.

Pumpkin Set

I was wanting to work on something dimensional for Fall and came across this fun pumpkin treat box pattern from My Scrap Chick. I've put together a sweet pumpkin card to go along with it, also from My Scrap Chick.

Pumpkin Patch Pop Up Box Card

Today, I'm sharing a pop up box card. This style of card has so many possibilities, for any type of occasion. I chose to make a pumpkin patch style one.

The adorable paper pieced bear pattern is available at KaDoodle Bug Designs and I've created some extra pumpkins for the patch. Behind the bear, there's a fence and I've added some Raffia around the pieces to give it that little "extra".

The "hey pumpkin" is a stamped image that I've colored with my Copics.

Fall Door Card

This week's freebie pattern from Cuddly Cute Designs was such a pretty one! I couldn't wait to create something with it. I decided on a card and being the freebie was a wreath design, it was ideal for the card I had in mind.

The finished card measures 5x7. The door panels were created using a wood grain pattern paper and a dark brown card stock under each door panel.

From the wood grain paper I cut the following:
one large panel at 4-1/2 x 6-1/2
four panels at 2-1/4 x 1-1/2
two small panels at 1-1/2 x 3/4
***make sure the grain runs vertical as you are making your cuts

From the dark brown card stock:
one large panel at 4-3/4 x 6-3/4
four panels at 2-3/8 x 1-5/8
two small panels at 7/8 x 1-5/8

Once the panels were centered and adhered, I used a brown adhesive rhinestone for the doorknob.

Fall Paper Piecings

Fall has got to be the most beautiful time of year with the changing leaves, pumpkins, apples, and Halloween. Probably one of the most popular season's to create scrapbook pages for. With that said, I've been pretty busy creating lots of Fall paper piecings.
