I love great sayings and when I come across one that I like, I HAVE to make something with it. To go along with this life sentiment, I've put together this card. I've created it, based on the sketch challenge at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. I stuck with the color scheme of black and white, with a hint of red. Tiny buttons and twine were used for embellishing.
I always love looking at your work. Who knew the dust the white of the film strips to get them to stand out?? How brilliant is that!!!??
ReplyDeleteThank you! I enjoy your work as well. Your pages and cards are always flawless!
DeleteI just went through your entire blog, OMG!! Your layouts are sooo cute. I am relatively new to paper piecing, having just tried some of the freebies at Little Scraps of Heaven. At this point I have been hand cutting, but I am loving it so much, I may invest in an E-cutter. As a "professional", which one do you prefer? Also wondering, what brand of paper do you prefer? It looks like you use a textured cardstock. Thanks for sharing your work. Oh, I tried to "grab" your facebook button on the sidebar and it couldn't find you. Don't know if your link is broken. Thanks again. Susie
ReplyDeleteThank you! I use a Silhouette Cameo for cutting the patterns. I try to stick with thicker cardstocks, since they cut the best. I use many brands, based on color availablity, such as Coredinations, ColorMates, and AC Cardstock. When I first started paper piecing, I used to cut everything by hand. Using a cutting machine makes a world of difference.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips!! And thanks for sharing your creations as well.
