Wishing You Brighter Days Card

Today, I'm sharing a sweet rainy day card, which is sure to brighten someone's day.

The pattern used for this 5-1/4 x 5-1/4 inch card is the Lil' Puddle Jumpers from KaDoodle Bug Designs. The girl pattern is reduced to measure 3-1/4 inches tall. When reducing the pattern, keep the patterned grouped together and reduce until the silhouette/base part of the pattern is at the desired size, before ungrouping your colors.

I've changed up the frog umbrella from this pattern to a ladybug version, by simply changing the handle and eye backs to black cardstock and the umbrella color to red cardstock. The black polka dots  on the umbrella were added using black Scribbles (fabric paint). Stickles were used around the puddle and water splashes.

The raindrop patterned cardstock is cut to 5x5, the inner red frame is 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 inches, and the white cardstock beneath the girl is 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches. The white cardstock is embossed with a cloud embossing folder, by Darice. The boot pattern across the bottom measures 3/4 x 5 inches.

I've added glittered white Prima flowers and added some Recollections bling for raindrops. 

My stamped sentiment measures approximately 1-1/2 inches across and 1-1/4 inches down. Many stamped sentiments could go along with this card, such as the one I have used or "You are my Sunshine", etc. 

The paper I've used for this card was a Spring page kit, which unfortunately, I don't have the brand name for. There are some pretty Spring paper lines available from companies such as DoodleBug. I was looking on the internet for something similar to the one I've used and came across a line called Carolee's Rain Boots Adornit - Rainy Days and Sunshine Collection.
